Hi all, ya knows the drill.

Anyone reading this,

I suggest you buy AAPL very very soon,

NYC markets are going to open in a few hours.

June 11th WWDC and June29th iPhone is gonna snoooballl....



Okay... Um... Just over 2.5 weeks to GO .!!



As you know I like to just sit in the countdown threads, a bit of a haven from the general madness (Temporary & Permanent Insanity)

    Just watched the iPhone ads.





    I WANT ONE OF THESE THINGS NOW!!!





    They won't be available in Japan for at least another year...

    OK looks like we got WIDESCREEN iPod now. Sweet. Seems to be 16:9 or 16:10 (more likely, given LCDs are usually 16:10, though I am not sure...).

    Heh. Nice. Payback for the Wii and PS3 and DS and stuff. And drifting (and drift chicks) -- seems to have taken off in Japan first.

    It's a 1.5:1 ratio. Not as wide as your cinema display, but wider than a standard TV.

    I wanted one previously anyway but then got sidetracked and started looking at upcoming phones from SE but after seeing those ads i am certain this is my next phone.

    I can't believe analysts have raised the price targets up to $160. The last $30-40 or so of increases in Apple's share prices have all been on iPhone hype. Granted, Apple is doing really well and I think the stock is still a good buy, but I don't see the iPhone hype supporting an increase to $160 a share. I said way back in February (when the analysts were saying that Apple would hit $145 in June) that Apple would be at roughly $125 come June. I won't be surprised to see it get up to $135-140 prior to the iPhone launch, but $160 is a bit much. Plus, I wouldn't want to own a stock that had its price per share inflated about $75 a share just due to hype for a single product. Apple stock is right where it should be right now, maybe just a tad undervalued given their recent surge in growth. Antying more than this is purely a result of iPhone hype, and it's not like the stock price doesn't have enough of that built into it already.

    Does anyone else think the sharp retreat of apples stock today was caused by the massive plunge the indexes took today?

    Apple's still up on the day. It was just up a lot early morning because of incredibly high volume. I checked in around 10:30 am and already 26 million shares had been traded.
