I just bought a new iMac and I need to get everything from my old iMac onto it - is there some kind of shareware program to organize all of my preferences so I don't lose like my bookmarks and stuff?
I know this probably sounds remedial but I'm kind of a novice - how do I know what to move over? I mean will a search for "preferences" in sherlock do it or is it more advanced? Are there services that could do all this for me?

The most practial method is to network the 2 computers with a network hub and turn on Appletalk.
you should then be able to move files between computers.
