"The George Bellas Instructional Series" A 12-CD ROM Guitar Course taught by Shrapnel Records Recording Artist George Bellas is now available at <a href="http://www.georgebellas.com."; target="_blank">www.georgebellas.com.</a>



A variety of music education software for the Mac has also been introduced, including: EarTraining 1.0, StudioLog 1.0, Maestro 1.0 and more! Windows and OSX versions will be available soon as well.

    The George Bellas Instructional Series CD ROM Guitar course is for OS8.6-OSX.



    And the other software will be available for OSX very soon.



    Did'nt mean to come accross as spam, I hate spam as much as everyone else. Just wanted to let some Mac Music people know.

    I also don't mind someone pointing out a possible resource (unless they have some kind of monetary connection to the company).



    As far as George Bellas goes, I'm afraid that I'd have to have a far more comprehensive website before I plunked down nearly $1000 for his instructional series; especially since the bulk of the stuff seems to be quicktime videos, which tend to fill up a CD rather quickly. Also, during the one trip I made to his website, it seemed to serve extremely slowly. One mark of a good company is the quality of their servers. Cheap ISP-hosted accounts (if that is what the problem is) aren't appropriate for such high-ticket stuff. I tried to go to the site a second time, but the effort was unsuccessful.



    I also don't like the fact that they have "OS X" plastered everywhere, but this only relates to playing CDROMS and QuickTime content. I could have missed it, but I didn't find any actual software that runs in OS X.



    Perhaps the software, once it has been ported to OS X, will be of great benefit. I think I'll bookmark the site for future reference.

    $1000!!!!! ummm, I think i'll pass, unless there is a cheap student version for say $50?

    I too found the site rather busy with not much content... It was slow also, but I thought that was just me. Aparantly not <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

    George - if your first post to a board does nothing but hawk your wares, you're spamming. It doesn't matter how good your intentions are.



    General board (and USENET newsgroup) etiquette is to become a contributor to the board (or group) and keep any advertisements in your signature. You can also mention them when they become relevant, e.g. if someone asks for a solution that you happen to provide.
