Help! England notebook in U.S.?

Hey guys, hope you can help me out. My uncle lives in England and he is sending me his used laptop. I have heard that there could be some issues with playing DVD's or CD's or U.S. software? I'm not worried about electric because converters can be had for $25.



What kind of problems am I going to run into? If any.

    If the DVD is region coded for the UK then it'll only play UK dvds - unless you reset the code but fair warning you can only 'officially' do that a certain number of times.



    You'd get more response if you posted this in the "Current Hardware" forum...
