Hello I was just wondering, how I'm gonna share my external HD (usb) with other computers (Macs and PCs) in my local network.

Any ideas??

Thanks.

You can use an Apple airport base or other router with a USB port.

Other than that, or plugging it in to one machine and using file sharing, there's no way. Plugging, for instance, a USB/FireWire hard drive into two machines at once is a big no-no.

I already have a linksys wireless router, but the only thing that comes to my mind is to plug it in tp my PC and make it share, so that i can have access from my mac.

    Thanks....

i was planning to do this when i get an imac. plug everything into the imac and set up a wireless network so my powerbook can tap into this mini network when needed

    sounds viable to me
