    For doing what?

Please remind me... what exactly did SimpleSound do?

QuickTime Player plays many sound formats including sfil (system 7), aiff, wav, au, mp2, mp3, mp4, midi, and of course mov.

I want to record live streams. it was quite good for that. i found an app, Sound Studio but apparently i need to i need to connect sound input to sound output (this is how i do it with Simple Sound i believe, i had forgotten this fact) but i don't think Quicksilver's can do it unless I get some sort of USB device, wish i could remember where you get those cables and what they're called... <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

What kind of live stream? Like an mp3 stream?

You can use something like <a href="http://www.xlife.org/radiofree.php"; target="_blank">RadioFree</a> for that.
