MPG to MOV?

:confused: I've got a Quicktime MPG that I want to edit but my IMOVIE and PREMIERE cannot edit MPGs, but can MOVs. I would really like for someone to tell me where I can find FREE software or FREE addons so I can edit the video! By the way, I'm on a MAC running OS9.2.2.     In quicktime Pro, try exporting the movie to a DV Stream. (720x480, 48Khz) Then import into imovie. (iMovie comes with QT Pro, right?)
