Scanner problem with OS update

Not sure right area for this post... Updated my OS recently and now my scanner is giving me fits... The scanner is an HP all-in-one printer/scanner. I have the latest drivers and software - I believe. The printer is recognized by the system profiler and preferences applet. It will print from various applications but when I try to scan in an image from Photoshop, it tells me the scanner is busy/unavailable... I went to HP's Imagezone and went through the setup assistant and it can not find the printer/scanner when I did a USB scan. HELP! Any suggestions...? Thanks in advance...

Presumeably, the scanning function is controlled by a TWAIN driver. If you did upgraded via Archive & Install, you probably did not move the TWAIN driver over to the upgraded System from the Previous System.
