Buying RAM / HDD drives for Mac Pro in the UK

Hey,

I'm a PC user (hopefully not for long) in the UK, and I'm in the market for a Mac Pro (I posted a week or two ago with some questions - thanks for feedback).

Anyway, I have another question regarding customising a Mac Pro. On the Apple Store online, it's simple to add RAM, HDD drives, etc to your configuration, but everyone pretty much agrees that Apple's prices are a tad high. So I'm looking for somewhere else to get the goods.

After shopping around, the best deals are definitely in the USA (including shipping to the UK), especially with the current £1 = $2 rate. The site http://eshop.macsales.com seems good, and they ship to UK no problem.

But before I order anything, I wanted to see if there's any fellow UK users with a Mac Pro who know a better place to buy RAM, HDD, etc, or who can confirm purchasing from the US is the best way to go and doesn't cause any problems I haven't thought about.

Thoughts?

I am thinking about a MP - was looking at http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/conf...submit1=Search & look under UK site - some good prices from the UK for branded ram. 2GB for around £72 excluding vat.

    Hope that helps!

Crucial is good for RAM upgrades. It's not always cheapest but the stuff is really high quality. I've been buying from them for years and none of the memory has ever suffered errors.
