AppleWorks declared 'end of life'

Macworld.co.uk is reporting that Appleworks is now End of Life

    Still have it installed on one machine; it supported everything I did for about ten years, from running my business to printing my texts (all artwork, and I use a lot, was done in AW) to making my presentations for class. It really did it all.



    Now that iWork has Numbers (though it still lacks a database), Apple has a modern business suite.

    Great software in its day, but didn't quite recover from the MacOS X transition.



    I'll miss it, but my memories tend to linger at the ClarisWorks 4 era.

    Die Appleworks, die. Now Apple please makes a new simple, but elegant paint app for all the kids that use Macs.

    AppleWorks is still a pretty nice package though a little long in the tooth. Apple still needs to get all of the functionality of 'works' into a new, improved suite of HO apps.
