I went to my local Apple store to take a look at the new iMac today. Most importantly I got a chance to use the new keyboard. It is sexy as hell and more slim than any keyboard I have seen before.

The downside is that even though it is easy to write on it's quick hard and uncomfortable. Simply put the keys don't absorb the force from your fingers as good as a standard laptop/desktop keyboard. Type 2000 words or so with it and your finger tips will probably be a bit soar afterwards.

The wireless version is great to use like a living room media keyboard but other than that the new keyboard is not something I would like to use for a lot of typing.

I have the previous wired keyboard and it works fine on a generic Windows computer. There isn't a number lock key that I know of, so that can be a problem in some cases.

Does anyone know if the wireless keyboard is at the Apple store yet?
