seems to have been Late on the 28th (its 2.30 in the morning of the 29th now) odd that they would do a silent update like this, when they could have held over till the 5 september event. Althought this way they might not get a huge amount of traffic, so can test the servers? maybe? just guessing.

they didn't announce it with a fanfare because apple knows it is a poor release. where are the movies? where are the UK shows? where are the deals with bbc, channel4 etc?

Have to agree with this - wery poor selection of American stuff - none of the UK shows that I would be interested in. Lets get some UK content Apple - there is loads to choose from....

Would love some of the old stuff - Monty Python, Blakes 7 etc....

Oh well....will take another few years if ever - particulalry with BBC & C4 doing there own (PC only though!) thing at present.....

We don't even get BBC America here in the states on iTunes, but nevertheless brokering a deal in your country always seems difficult. Every time someone complains about this stuff from somewhere like Canada, or the UK, it's usually some type of a regulatory problem, or copy-write protection problem that your homeland is not ready to work out. They don't have the protocols in place, and the only thing that gets them off their collective asses is user email complaints to these networks. After the flooding of email doesn't end they suddenly decide "maybe we should do something".

I'm sorry your store is limited, but I have no doubts that Apple has been working on this since before the US store opened, and they have exhausted all their resources. It's your turn.

It might be a poor selection to some, but its a START. How many were complaining that there wasn't ANY store at all? What did the US launch offer?

The rollout has been slowed by copywriters working on iTunes... now they have to spell favorite, "favourite".
