I'm looking for a quick way to reduce the size of a photo to make it smaller for emailling, etc. From what I've read on the automator on the mac 101 site, it seems it can be done via preview, but I can't seem to find the option - could someone give me a hand?

yeah, in preview go to customize toolbar (under view) and drag the 'scale' button up to the toolbar. Then just type in the percentage of the original you want it to be.

In iPhoto, click on the "email" button. It will prompt you to tell it what size to send. Or, you can select the photo, choose file>export and it, too will ask what size you want to export it to. Export to your desktop and then mail or upload from there.
