what's the best password managing software?



passwords for websites/software/etc.

    Keychain is included with OSX, use Keychain access in the Utilities folder.

    KeyChain is the best I've seen, unfortuenatly not all apps support it.

    Keychain may only work with Cocoa apps, I'm not sure. Here is a screen shot of mine:





    Almost everything there is 'Net related, except for Pseudo.

    Keychain is probably the best thing to use with OSX since it is already included one thing I wish Keychain had was an included password generator.

    FYI, password master has a password generator.



    Keychain works with all apps, not just Cocoa. AIM isn't cocoa, MSN isn't cocoa.

    does passwordmaster require a password to gain entry into the prog. when opened?



    keychain ::: can everything in their be read, if someone was on your account?

    Yes, you can set it to ask for a password. Just try the software out...it's only a small download.



    Yes, you can read any password in keychain without it asking for a password to view the password you want to see <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" />

    I'm not using the official clients, I use <a href="http://epicware.com"; target="_blank">Fire</a>, which is cocoa.
