if i purchase now can i get free leopard uprade?

    We don't even know when Leopard's going to be out.



    I'll have to go ahead and say no... there have been some instances where people who got a computer the day before a upgrade was released have gotten the upgrade though. Don't bank on it.

    I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but when Steve and last talked, he told me that it would be one of the 31 days in October of 2007. Of course he could change his mind as he has done before.



    I'm with you on the "NO" for just the reason you stated.

    No, but if you buy a Select Developer Account, you can get the discount on the hardware (Mac Pro goes from $2499 to $1999, for example) AND free Leopard Client and Leopard Server, plus you get the beta right now.



    Go to http://developer.apple.com/membership/usa.html



    And click the link for the hardware store. Everything is the same as the regular store except the prices.
