Flash MX and Illustrator 10...

When trying to import something like a logo or text that has been converted to paths from AI10 to Flash MX the vectors get screwed up. Saving the files as version 5.5 and 7 EPS files does no good, this is driving me nuts! Anybody else having this problem? Anyone know of a fix? I'm using OSX 10.1.5 btw

(Also, if I import an EPS that has unconverted text, such as ITC Officina Sans which I have loaded via suitcase, Flash asks me, when importing the file, if I'd like to choose another font because that one isn't available, then I can select the same font from the font substitution menu... not as bad as the above problem, but still frustrating!)

Is this part of the macromedia / adobe guerilla warfare we don't know about? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

You can export as a .swf file from Illustrator, have you tried doing that? I find that usally works for me.

No idea about the font problem (fonts have always been a mystery to me) but I suspect that it's just a font that Flash can't handle.

Hmmm... I was laboring under the impression you couldn't import .swfs, but I just tried it and it works perfectly. Thanks!

Apologies if this was common knowledge: you can all laugh at me now... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />
