What's the chance the new iMac has a touchscreen and Apple is waiting for Leopard to be released to reveal this? Sort of a secret killer feature.

    Less that 1/100th of 1%.

There are a couple of sites that show the disassembly of the iMac (for educational purposes.) They show quite plainly that it's just a glass panel over the LCD. It doesn't have the multiple layers of "stuff" that are observed in the iPhone disassembly.

No, you forgot about the nano-bots. When leopard ships, they all activate and build a touch screen out of only elements found in air.

You just cant see them now because they are tiny as hell.

Ok good to know. Well hopefully this is a feature Apple adds soon enough. I think people are looking for reasons these days to buy new computers beyond just speed bumps and something like this could really take off.

There is probably a 10% chance of this actually. Apple introduced the Intel iMacs only a couple of months after the iMac G5 was updated....

I can't see an entire monitor being a touch interface but a one inch strip at the bottom could serve quite a few purposes...

But that spectulation is for another day.

Just what I need, greasy finger prints all over my nice screen. I will pass, forever. Even when cars float I will pass. I do not want to have to clean my screen on a constant basis.

I don't think people are ready for complete touch computers just yet.

I for one hate touch screens, refuse to use them. They're uncomfortable and wierd.

I don't really see the point of adding touch screen to iMac. Really.

lift your hand(s) up to your monitor and pretend you're using it as a touchscreen. gets tiring pretty fast and is awkward.
