What is that Shake Program on the Apple Software page? Is it something they are building or a 3rd party promotion?

    It's a High End Video Compositor that was used in films like Lord of the Rings.

    It's a program that Apple bought and is now making into its own.



    hmurchison is spot on. It's a very professional compositing app.



    What's compositing? In short, it's combining many layers (sometimes hundreds of layers) of graphics and video together into a single shot.
