After reading the tea leaves, the entrails of a goat, and consulting Nostradamus.....
iMac CRT x2 (current form factor, 700 MHz G3)
iMac LCD x2 (all new LCD form factor, 800 MHz G3)
Speed bumped TiBooks (667, 733, 800 MHz G4)
Speed bumped iBooks (700 MHz G3)
Powermac G4 SDRAMx2 (867, 933 MHz G4)
Powermac G4 DDRRAMx2 (1 GHz, 1 GHz Dual)
So, the "Big Deal" is that Apple is going to upgrade all of the products.
Evidence:
-EOL iMacs and low speed iBooks at various outlets
-rebates on slowest TiBooks
-Powermacs not EOL, which means that some Powermacs will not look like significant upgrades, but Apple will want to get some more dualies and DDRRAM in the mix
As for other things, I think we'll see the elusive iPhoto, and an Apple-branded Firewire digital camera to complement it. We'll also the next generation of Firewire.

Extremely little, if anything, will be made of the portables.
Not until at least Tokyo and even then I would only expect a speed/feature bump at best.
Its the year of the desktop machines.
I think Apple's definition of "big" is a far cry from many of us are considering "big".
New iMac will probably take center stage. I never believed G5s were in the cards, so there will, instead, be GHz-busting G4s (hey, only ABOUT TIME...) and some other little things (new iApp, retail store discussion/report, iPod gloating/demo, reps from Adobe, Microsoft, etc.)
I'm purposely trying to keep my expectations low and in check. That way, I'll be genuinely surprised and elated at any wild-ass "G4 iMac with SuperDrive!" unveiling.

That seems reasonable compared to most of the hogwash I've been reading in here for the past month.

No, the laptops will not be touched. If so, then the Titanium wouldn't have gotten a new combo drive so near to a revision. And the iBook was just revised, what, 2 months ago, if that?
Maybe the CRT iMac will stick around for edu market, but I doubt it. Apple doesn't have the resources to be producing so many different iMacs, and we know that Steve want's ONLY LCD displays in the Apple product lineup.
The Titanium will get a speed bump soon, and I think it will be the Apollo G4, probably near the speeds you predicted. But not at MWSF, because if it were going to, then Apple could have just waited until then to add the combo drive to the Ti. I think MW Tokyo is when it happens. Plus, the Japanese LOVE laptops, and especially the Titanium. There's that one Japanese dude who even has a website devoted to Apple, and he poses as Steve Jobs, actually a bit creepy, like the guy is about to start stalking Jobs.
Powermacs: I don't see different motherboards unless Apple sells both G4 and G5 powermacs at the same time (very likely if only enough G5s are available for top end). although Apple did it before with Powermac G4s, giving the low end a real cheesy mobo while the high end got a real one. Same with the current Ti. I guess it's to clear out old inventory?
Finally, your speeds are too low! Expect at least:
iMac: 800-1000 MHz. 933 MHz at the very worst.
Powermacs:
if G4: 867, 1000, 1133, 1266, dual 1133 MHz
---or------
867, 1000, 1133, dual 1000 MHz
If G5: 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, dual 1.4 GHz.
---or------
1.0, 1.2, 1.4, dual 1.2 GHz.
I'd say the lower speeds are more likely, however, rumors from several different sources on the web suggest that Moto is having great success at fabbing G5 chips that clock to 1.6 GHz, with smaller numbers clocking to 1.8 GHz, and a few as high as 2.4 GHz.
You really are predicting dire speed increases, such small speedbumps that they would doom Apple's existence. But I will excuse such pessimism based on Apple's and Motorola's previous transgressions.

The iBooks will be updated. It's on MacNN. The TiBook won't be updated tho. Although... 3 updates in 3 months <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
I like the iBook so much...if I had the cash I'd buy one for sure. The Titanium is awesome but it's overkill for my needs. All I'd want is something to write on, check email, and give presentations with. The iBook is perfect for all this, the Titanium is just overkill. With a Titanium I'd feel like a person driving a 4X4 SUV around the city, never leaving the pavement. A total waste of excessive power and capability.

Why would Apple keep SDRAM models in the PowerMac line? Would it be priced at Prosumer level then? It just does not make much sense to me - if it's PowerMac, then it should all be DDR.

Because it keeps demand down for the new stuff, while allowing them to claim they have cutting edge stuff. They keep demand down by introducing the newer tech in the high end models, and allow early adopters to subsidize some of the R&D by paying a lot to be on the front edge.
Witness the split TiBooks. Historically, remember the splits in the Powermac line around the old G4 (<550 MHz) and the newer ones (>667 MHz). Before that, there was the Yikes/Sawtooth split. Before that there was that ATA/SCSI split (in the B&W G3's).
Since Apple is still kind of attached to rolling stuff at Expos (though they have broken from this more lately, thankfully), they often have limited supplies on hand for the newer tech (in this case the DDRRAM mobo's or Gigawire or whatever).

You may be right - and these would be nice machines. But I won't be "blown away". The iMac actually may be enough - we'll actually have to see it. However, speed bumps fall into the Mhz myth - how do they help me with my digital lifestyle? I joke at work that I love my fast 1Ghz+ PC because it reboots so fast when it crashes. Otherwise it's really no different than the 500 Mhz PCs in how we use them. (The other plus is that It crunches my setiathome work units at a good rate!)
As far as video editing and photoshop, sure it will be 10% faster - that doesn't blow me away. Adding a G4 and superdrive to a beautiful iMac to enable my digital lifestyle more fits the hype. Adding a G5 that cuts my wait time in half also seems more to fit the hype. And then there's ? to make my life complete
Your machines are nice, but I'm "Count[ing] on being blown away."

It's only that I don't find it amusing, that's all. I will be hopefully shopping for a PowerMac in Q1 or Q2 2002, and I don't have the money for the high end machine. So no DDR = drats. Unless I'll go for the Athlon. *sigh*

i just don't see superdrive on only the two most expensive Power Macs...if superdrive is to be the future, and if we are all going to be taking digital photos and making mini-dv movies with our camcorders, then superdrive needs to be on more machines and on at least one machine that is made for the consumer, not the pro or even prosumer....so either the top iMac gets a superdrive or they bring back the cube as a go-between for the iMac and the tower...g
