What format are the video's currently in? If it's DVD, I use HandBrake.

Takes about an hour or so on my MBP to create a file from a DVD that I can drag into my iTunes video list, another 10 minutes or so to sync, then I'm good to go.

Is there a reason you haven't tried iSquint, like I said? It's the solution to your problems.

Indeed. I use Visual-Hub (the 'full version' of iSquint) and I've been extremely pleased.

VisualHub does, so I assume iSquint might as well.

I use ffmpegX and this works really well. It has presets for converting any video file you want to the various iPod Formats.
