Mac book pro delay

I ordered the 9/28 in the Apple store several products including :

- a 750 MB iomega firewire HD

- office 2004

- a bluetooth mouse

and a 17 inch CTO PBook pro (4GB, HD screen, 7200 rpm)

Originally this order was supposed to be shipped between the 10/4 and the 8/10. Today it's say that it will ship the 11/5.

Have you any explanation for this sudden delay ?

Leopard, the screen, the HD, whatever ?

I think the only explanation will be "The new MBP is coming."

I wouln't be disapointed if it was the case, but I have some doubts

Time will tell, but it's good to speculate

I just recieved an email from Apple saying that my order was on the way.

It's odd but the email said that the arrival is scheduled for the 10/22, but the Apple Store said the 11/13.

It seems that there is some serious bugs here

    No leopard for me

No free Leopard to be precise. Understanding how much you spent on this package, buying extra the Leopard may or may not be an issue for your wallet.

You are very silly, but you are right

BTW, I always buy a "family" license for 5 computers.

It would be nice to take advantage of the family license (not just for OS X, but for iLife software too), but it's always part of my plan when I buy a Mac that I'll be selling it used on eBay later, typically 18-24 months later. I need legit individual copies of the software that go with each computer if I want to sell them used, but with the latest-and-greatest software as part of the package, instead of selling the computers with nothing but the older versions of the software they were originally purchased with.

I'm not actually positive that I'm profiting, or even breaking even doing that -- if the computers sell for enough extra to cover the costs of the up-to-date software -- but at least I feel better about the value of what I'm selling.
