Depends what you mean by "big"...

Appears to me that the only people hyping MWSF 2002 a lot this go around are those on this board. Apple is not really hyping it any more than they have in the past. Every keynote over the last three years has been billed as one "you won't want to miss"... and even on the Special Promos page at <a href="http://www.apple.com/store"; target="_blank">www.apple.com/store</a> there are deals "you won't want to miss"...

So my expectation is that there is a play on the word "big". What do YOU think "big" refers to?

Some ideas...

1. A BIG 36-inch cinema display

2. A BIG Pentium IV processor in a Mac

3. A BIG 50 lb. 17-inch CRT iMac

4. A BIG Phil Schiller now weighs 300 lbs.

5. A BIG wait for the next system. "Shipping in 120 days!"

Pro. Go. Whoa.

Good. Better. Best.

Big. Bigger. Biggest.

Something I haven't seen mentioned is maybe they just meant to say that the CONFERENCE was going to be "big", i.e., lots of exhibitors, lots of seminars. It didn't specifically mention the keynote or Apple products.

Steve Jobs has been taking HGH intravenously for six months now, and is over 8 feet tall. Truly, he will be the biggest CEO in the tech sector.

This is way more hype then Apple has ever shown. They usually are trying to dampen expectations, not raise them!

Even if there are new iMacs (that is 100%) and even new G5s (that is maybe 50/50) I think the something that is "Big" is beyond these. It will be something totally different from what we have seen before. What, I am not sure, but it will surprise us.

what about blown away? I don't think it will be a play on words considering all that has happened this year...

Something is around the corner, and we all have absolutely NO clue. Isn't it GREAT??!?!

Maybe it means that the BIG Pentium IV in the new LCD iMac will require a fan! This is BIG (processor) and it blows us away!

What does one mean by big? Well, anything over 10 inches is big in my book. Hell I'd even say 9" is pretty damn big, at least if it has some real girth.

My 22" is big enough for most applications. Yeah, even with it you sometimes run in to somebody who likes 'em bigger. Ah, well, you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Even PC users know the P 4 is really no big deal (even in their world compared to the Athlon).

    Like I said a troll.
