Apple iDVD for External Pioneer 104 Ships This Fall

Just back from the small Mac Fair in Santa Rosa CA where I was told by someone who claims to know that Apple is planning on releasing a new version of iDVD that will be compatible with external Pioneer 104 DVD-R drives "before Christmas". Hopefully this is true and the nightmare will soon be over. I believe the source.

    so this means that apple will sell an apple-branded ext superdrive? or just give iDVD the ability to work with an ext drive?



    will it work with any ext superdrive? or only the "apple branded" one?

    Of course, had this been done in the first place, DVD+RW might not be breathing down the DVD Forum's neck and threatening to obsolete an important standard championed by Apple.
