Impressed!
Just wanted to point out: I installed Leopard on my mothers 17" Core Duo iMac with 512 MB. I thought: this ain't going to be fast! But I was impressed to see fast window resizing, a speedy Finder and little beach ball spinning.
So for people with the bare minimal memory specs; it will work, unlike Windows Vista which crawls on the same specs.

I sure would recommend more memory. Even 1 GB total would amaze you.

Man, I recently put on 2 gigs!!!!
thanks a lot...but...Front row keeps crashing!...
but it seems a "natural" issue of F/R 2.0...

Hmmm I'm still limping along with a Core Duo Mac mini w/512MB of RAM. I was going to get a 2GB RAM upgrade first before Leopard but it's nice to know that if I decided I couldn't wait I could still upgrade Leoapard and join the party before getting more RAM. I think I'd still better hold off because the iMacs have faster graphics.

FR 1.0 crashed a bit for me, this isn't new.
My VM size is nearly 32 GB doing almost nothing!!!
Anyone know why? All I have open is FF, and iChat.
I think I know why leopard seems so snappy...

How much actual RAM have you yet to touch?
The VM allocation means the system has pre-allocated potential swapfile for VM if necessary and prefetching won't require cycles to expand it.

1 to 1.5 out of 2 was unused at the time.
