Actually I did play Diablo (for a while) and I went so far as to offer a free computer (G3) to mousepad (the creator of maphack for the PC) if he would program one for the mac. He is at college and too busy to be bothered relearning programing. It's a shame too. In any case. To make a long story short there is one map hack for d2 that is buggyer then hell and I basically swore the game off after a month or two.
I've wasted huge amounts of my life playing D2, although not as much recently. I just tend to follow the map hackers around. I'd heard talk of Blizzard locking accounts of the maphackers occasionally, but I guess it didn't have much of an effect.
I've got a lvl 85 Amazon in hardcore, and a bunch of characters in the 50-70 level range. Don't have the patience to try and make a lvl 99 char. Also don't have the patience to do much magic hunting, so my stuff isn't all that good.
I'm back playing since begin October and once you get a good MF, you get some great stuff,,but I need a char who is faster than Druid in killing and MF, because my defense suffers from the MF.
Diablo is pretty addictive and yes it sickens me that PC guys have maphack, but sometimes it can be usefull for Boss runs.
