Video Player Question

I have the Perian plugin for quicktime as well as VLC, but i was wondering if there was another video player that displayed hardsubs and softsubs better than vlc?

i know you can let them load in quicktime, which only takes a few seconds, but is there anything like Media Player Classic on windows for the mac? i'm a anime fiend, so i know my way around video prorams and codecs pretty well, but i have yet to find a app that works as well on an apple as MPC works on windows.

any help is appreciated.

Try Cellulo 2.0.2. The QuickTime/Mplayer-based app is my favorite video player. For .mkv files, however, I think that you really need a converter rather than a viewer. Your best bet is MoKgVm2DVD.
