you have to download the full .pkg-installer. The size of it is 28MB, and 1.32+full should be in the file's name. It contains all the pk3-files from earlier update, punkbuster support (separate installer found within) and a new .app-file.

once you've installed it, you will see that you have 2 quake app files. one is an os 9 app. the other is an os X app. just launch the os X version. simple.

    Search for "Quake3.app".

your Quake3 directory-structure should be like this:

    Quake3 Folder

    ---------

    Quake3.app

    baseq3

    pb

    baseq3 folder

    ---------

    pak0.pk3

    pak1.pk3

    pak2.pk3

    pak3.pk3

    pak4.pk3

    pak5.pk3

    pak6.pk3

    pak7.pk3

    pak8.pk3

    q3config.cfg

    q3key

    pb folder

    ---------

    pbag.mac

    pbcl.mac

    pbsv.mac

    htm

if you've got all this in your Q3-folder, everything should be OK. And, we're always helpful in Quake3World.com's Mac-discussion forum

sometimes when you install it will just create a new q3 folder somewhere on your drive. if so, you will need to drag the contents from that into their respective places within your current quake directory.

oki im vewwy sowwy im a total newb at this

i found that quake 3 folder, it was in my applications folder, not in my games folder

but uhm im still not there

so i found that map, there is a baseq3, a missionpack a punk buster installer and a quake 3 logo (mac os X)

so i copy those maps from baseq3 folder in the original folder (mac os 9 version) but there is no punkbuster folder in there, then i got some problem choosing the instalation directory, what do i have to select

once again sorry, im not stupid if it comes to computers but im not to handy with games

so good you help me a little further

    thx in advance

here is what my q3 folder structure looks like. make sure you perform the punkbuster (pb) install. if it doesn't install into the root of you q3 folder, jut drag the whole pb folder in. hope this clears things up.

it does not matter where the stuff is installed from or to, just as long as you move the contents to their right spots after the installation. i just open the installer from the desktop and let stuff fall where they will then clean up. no problems.

    very weird

    i installed the update

put the baseq3 files in the original folder

the mission pack, the same thing

    and the pb file also

then the logo i put in there also

i start up quake and he asks for the installation directory

    very weird <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
