OS X Leopard Essentials package check failure

This has bitten my ass on a 1Ghz iBook G4. No matter the RAM I've thrown at it it still pukes out on the Essentials package fails to validate error.



It's bitten people whether they have a PPC G4, G5 or Intel.

    Interesting. Does this affects the retail Leopard version or everything?

    Read many of the posts at the link you provided. One question. Does anyone who has factory installed RAM only (hasn't installed new RAM since purchased), have the same problem you describe during Leopard install?
