Hotmail & osx mail

Hi all,



anybody knows how to set up osx mail so it syncs with my hotmail account?

I'm trying to find hotmail's server names and whatever i need to sync it with no succes.



Advice appreciated.

    There is no way I know of to directly do that. I have set up a script in Entourage that pulls my Outlook mail, delets junk, then redirects it to my Mac.com mail account. The process is transparent, but requires Entourage or Outlook Express.

    Yeah, last I recall Microsoft uses a custom, proprietary protocol for accessing Hotmail through Outlook/Entourage. Mail can not support it natively without some kind of major update.

    I've been using a piece of software called Mail Forward, it works pretty well. If you are into the Unix underpinnings, there is a Debian package called gotmail that does the same thing. If anyone knows how to use that, I would love to know as well...

    I believe only Entourage can work with hotmail.

    What! They want me to buy microsoft office with entourage? :confused:

    That's what i-call think in an apple kinda style, different. heh

    Kinda different to my thinking also.



    Whatever, any way to get entourage without microsoft <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> office?
