My old iPod (30 GB Video) had downloaded games from iTunes on there, but I already know that won't work. So, I was curious if there were any sites on Safari for the iTouch that had cool apps I could do (games, mapping, etc...). By the way, I have an 8GB iTouch.

ok..I am feeling really dumb, but how do I get games ON my ipod touch? all of these seem to be for you to play while surfing. I want to be able to play games while not in a wi-fi area
None are available yet. There is no games option and 3rd party applications are not permitted for usage yet. I believe there will be the opportunity for 3rd party apps in Februaryish if I'm not mistaken.
Now, with that said, the native SDK comes in febuary, so you only have to wait a month for your wish to be granted.
