Director MX is finally out for OSX, thank goodness. i'm really happy about that.

but the 1 thing that anyone who has ever had to author cross platform CDs has been screaming for is :

THE ABILITY TO CREATE MAC AND PC PROJECTORS FROM A SINGLE VERSION OF DIRECTOR

macromedia has completely and blatantly igmored this loud cry from developers to try and force companies to buy both MAC and PC versions of the same product.

criminal.

Director used to have the functionality built in but they took it out to hawk more product licenses.

what a show of bad faith from an obvious software technology leader.

shame on you macromedia.

I find it messed up too, but I don't expect it to change anytime soon. Right now they are successfully (i assume) getting people to buy twice the number of licences they need. why would they stop.

    have you used director mx?

am i right in assuming that you can create os x and os 9 projectors?

I don't understand why Macromedia doesn't have a problem making .exe players in Flash but Director they can't. At least they gave us 1/2 off our copy of Director MX for Windows.
