What is the Mac Business Unit at MicroSoft up to? When do we get a new explorer for Mac? Or will we ever?

Thoughts?

    IMHO what should be released from MBU in order of importance.

    1. OS X Exchange client

    2. Explorer upgrade with better java support

    3. Visio for OS X

    4. Access for OS X

    5. new Office X

    Yeah, I agree with outsider only with Access at the top of the list.

    I dunno, the only M$ product i use is Word. Just Word. I just stopped using them. I personly think that Access might not have a big effect on the Mac community.

    MacBU sure has been quiet lately.

    I suppose that port of MSN for the Mac must be taking a lot of time.

    I have found that FileMaker Pro can open alot of Access stuff perfectly. Try it out.

    Seems you peeps like ya databases.... personally I hate access. Even right down on a SQL level it managed to screw things up for me.

    Check this out tho. <a href="http://www.mysql.com/"; target="_blank">http://www.mysql.com/</a>; the mysql peeps have really developed things over the last few years. This is one database that is gonna rock the socks of the "Big" players.

    I like the headline "... Out of 5 databases tested, only Oracle9i and MySQL completed the test... "

    Problem is if all you do is support them and you don't make databases, then you have very little control on what software they use

    Look at this, <a href="http://www.macworldexpo.com/macworld2003/V33/conference/session.cvn?eID=163"; target="_blank">http://www.macworldexpo.com/macworld2003/V33/conference/session.cvn?eID=163</a>;

    new Entourage X? Hopefully with Exchange support? Please?

    How about priority 1: A new version of Word that can make files with names longer than 32 characters! Duuuuuh how hard can it be?
