    EV: Nova

    Return to Castle Wolfenstein

    Starcraft

    Marathon!!! (A1)

    Unreal

    Black & White

    (Classic/ OS 9)

I don't know about Marathon, but Starcraft has been Carbonized since early 2002. The latest patch is a free update.

Wow, i gotta pay better attention to these things. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> I don't play many games anyway, but unreal and starcraft are my favs. Too bad theres no update for Warcraft II.

Its pathetic but I have never purchased a Game EVER for mac or PC, and the only game I have played on my mac was Chess.

...Thank god, however, in reality I am not as booring as you would assume after reading that quick above splurge. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Marathon on OSX is made possible by an open source project called <a href="http://source.bungie.org/"; target="_blank">Aleph One</a>. It's pretty stable and works with only minor glitches on most of the mods (Evil, Morgana, Red, etc.). Fun Stuff.

    nadnerb,

Do you have a good Galaga ROM? I have been looking for one. I'm using MacMame for X(.60a) and the ones that I DL'd and put in the ROM folder don't show up. They come in folders full of disc images and other stuff. What part of the ROM DL do I put in the ROM folder? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to MacMame. Thanks,

    Scott

    try:

    <a href="http://www.classicgaming.com/vault/"; target="_blank">classic gaming</a>

    and

    <a href="http://www.mame.dk"; target="_blank">mame.dk</a>

    They're both pretty good.

edit: don't unzip the roms.. put the zip file in the roms folder

Thanks! No wonder they were not working. I was unzipping them. I see a lot of Galagas out there. Which is the best(most original/least bugs)?

All are native on Mac OS X except Episode 1 Racer, but it runs fantastic under Classic.

edit: whoops. I forgot about Quake 3. It's been a loooong time since I played that , though.

i know this thread is mostly over, but could everyone also include the hardware on which they are playing these games? I have an iBook 700 with Radeon Mobility 16mb, and am wondering what my little book can handle.
