hey guys. i was wondering if you could connect an external hard drive to the xbox and watch media from it. i'm pretty sure you can, but i just want to make sure before i purchase a hard drive.. also, is it possible to connect a hard drive to a router and then send files to the hard drive using airport. if i'm correct it was supposed to be a feature but it got cancelled? thanks guys, much appreciated.

    #1 It appears you can.

#2 You are talking about AirDisk, which should work fine. I believe it was wireless Time Machine backup that was the issue.

I just use Connect 360. It's a cheaply priced program that allows me to stream from my mac to my Xbox 360 wirelessly. Look around I'm sure you can find options like that. You are basically using the built in feature for 360s to connect with a PC in your network. Connect 360 dupes the Xbox into thinking your mac is a PC.

problem is you need to have your 360 not connected to your mac, and unfortunatly, that's how my mac is connected.

I don't understand what you mean. If you are talking about wireless versus direct connections to your router it makes no difference. I have used it with my mac with my macbook sending via wifi and ethernet.
