I love my iPhone and don't care what anyone says!

Pretty much all I hear on these forums is people complaining about features missing and other problems with the iPhone. Well I'm here to say that I got mine on Xmas day, and I f******g love it!

I have to take my hat off to Apple as I think they have created something that really is revolutionary. I have had quite a few phones in the past, the last one being the Ericsson W950i (the supposed 'smart phone'), but nothing comes even close to the iPhone.

People have been winging non stop about the battery life being poor, but after the novelty of playing with the iPhone constantly has worn off, I think it's actually pretty good. I plug my phone (no matter what phone it is) in to charge every single night, then I go and sit at a desk in front of a computer (MBP + G5) where if I wanted I could charge it all day long. However I don't need to. Watching videos, browsing the web and YouTube does drain the battery quite a bit, but who does that all the time on a phone unless it's new and you can't stop playing with it!!

With regards to the networking side of things, I find Edge is perfectly acceptable for checking your email or looking something up on the net. If I want to do something more bandwidth intensive I make sure I'm in a WIFI hotspot. A not-perfect, but perfectly acceptable compromise.

I could go on stating my opinion on all the other little things people are winging on about, but I honestly can't be bothered. I just wanted to say that I think it's an amazing, ground breaking, fun, practical and extremely sexy gadget, and as long as Apple keep releasing regular firmware updates for the it, then I would be happy to use this phone for the next few years.

If you have something positive to say about the iPhone then please post it here. If you've got something negative to say, well turn off your crappy PC, phone a friend (if you have one) on your second rate mobile phone, and go and get a life!!!! (I bet I get a blasting for those last comments!! ha ha).

Also - share your fav web apps with us. I've struggled to find any good / fun /useful ones so far!!

I agree... I have no complaints with this incredible device! Anything that can be improved will be improved in the future, but to even have something this technologically advanced is awesome.

Loving mine too, only thing I don't like is the weak speaker but other than that it's the best phone i've ever used.

I also wish the speaker/ringer was louder.... my work around was to create a bunch of custom ring-tones (using QT) with the QT volume settings maxed out during the encoding process. Now, as music they sound horrendous... way over-blown, but it makes the best possible use of the phone's weak speaker

Any of you weak speaker folk install the latest update? I've heard here and there that it improves speaker volume.

i didn't notice any difference in speaker volume after last weeks update.

And i need to find a tear-down photo of the iPhone, to see what's behind those "holes" before I risk sticking a needle in there .

I completely agree. The iPhone is easily one of the greatest things out there right now for communication and entertainment. I also use for search too. There are so many web apps out for the iphone to use for search. You can access sites formatted specifically for the iPhone.

Here are few web Apps I found for the iPhone. Some of them even make a specific icon for the app to put on your home screen with the new 1.1.3 update.

http://vflashlight.com/iphone/ - This makes the screen white so you can use it as a flashlight.

http://rjen.com/marq.html - Type in text and is scrolls across the screen in large text.

http://www.inetworktest.com/ - Test your iPhone network speed anywhere. EDGE/WiFi

http://www.underclouds.com/iphone/castlefeud/ - GAME!! Launch cannon balls at castles

www.google.com/m - Google now provides a Google icon for the home screen.

http://iphone.coium.com/index2.php#_main - Acceses an encyclopedia and Wikipedia

http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/iui/#_home - iLounge website formatted for iPhone

http://www.bigbucketblog.com/webtomatometer/ - Rotten Tomato reviews formatted for iPhone

http://www.bigbucketblog.com/webtv/ - Use this to search for upcoming show times for TV shows

www.iribbit.com - ebay formatted for iPhone

http://iphone.fandango.com/ - fandango formatted for iPhone... Sweet!!!!

    http:// iphone.facebook.com/ - Facebook formatted for iPhone

Keep an eye out here for more web apps

thanks shutterrelease some good ones there. the only decent one i'd found so far is the facebook one, but frustrates me not being able to do much on it. be great if you could upload pics directly from your iphone to facebook.

anyway thanks to (almost) everyone for showing a little bit of gratitude to Apple, instead of a bunch of Apple-bashers having a go all the time!
