Just talked to a few friends of mine over at Quark, (names hidden to protect identity) H%$&n stated "Just a few months, maybe 3"

My tech guy K*^$e stated "I've been playing around with the Beta for a week now and it is SLICK!" He also stated, "There's a big developers push around here to get it on the shelves by the end of second quarter (June), but it looks like it will be sooner"

Lets hope ...

    Excatly

Oops. Note to myself: Don´t mock FCiB just because you don´t share his views. He´s a good guy after all. Even agree with him on capital punishment...

I strongly strongly doubt that Quark 6 will be SLICK.

I think the best case scenario is a surprisingly good Carbon port. And a few new features. And a decent revamped interface. And not too many bugs.

yep, that's my guess as well. quark has never been one to go above and beyond on the features front other than rolling in some third party functionality. i'm sure it will be fairly soild, nothing more.

I was talking to an employee at the Durham, NC Apple Store, to see if they had any copies of Quark in stock. He said that they didn't at this time, and that they were expecting a new version soon, and probably wouldn't be getting any copies in stock until then...

As for it being slick... who knows?

    This is great.

It was not so long ago that Quark was sending out word that that QXP6 would ship this past fall, in tandem with a workflow-management solution.

    Now it's June?

They must be getting no love porting that hoary old codebase to Carbon.

If I can boot only in Os X and use Quark natively, even a version emulating the features of 3.0 alone would be "slick" to me.
