Business model patentable?

About five minutes ago I thought of an idea for a business model that I think has great potential. Is there any way to protect this?

    Anyone with patent experience know if filing a provisional patent is something an intelligent person can do on their own without hiring a lawyer or patent service? Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I could tell you but I alread patented that information and thus you must pay me for it.
