Scratch Remover for LCD: Advice?

Greetings, my TiBook has several scratches on the LCD where some dirt was on the computer and after being closed, it scratched the paint and the LCD screen. No amount of cleaning will remove the scratches, they are visible with a white window behind them.

Doing a google search, there are several products which claim to safely remove scratches from LCD screens:

Janvil Scratch Remover

Cell Phone LCD Scratch Remover

Does anyone know if products like this work? The screen is made of plastic, so, presumably any plastic scratch remover used delicately would work (basically, lightly smooth the surface, then use a plastic resin to fill the scratches, buff and polish).

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Yeah, try it on someone else's LCD first.

There used to be a product called "klear kloths" or something similar. It was often recommended for removing scratches and buffs in LCD screens.
