Hey quick question, acutely a few questions but here is what I have an iMac with the Radeon X1600 256mb, + Dual monitor the other monitor is 20inch widescreen

Max Resolution: 1680 x 1050 / 60 Hz

Image Contrast Ratio: 2000:1

Now Currently its set up as Mini-DVI to VGA,

I plan to switch it to Mini-DVI to DVI,

Will I see a big change in the quality?

and does it lose some quality from the switch of Mini DVI- DVI ? or is Mini DVI able to output the same signal quality as DVI?

MiniDVI is the same signal as DVI... just a different (smaller) shaped plug.

VGA is an analog signal, DVI is a digital signal. The digital signal is less affected by signal interference (in theory it should be completely unaffected), so it might result in a better picture. If you're not getting much interference on the VGA cable though, you may not notice any difference.
