mmm...

CSS is better.

Flash is better.

No, I won't give it to you. No, I won't tell you how I got it.

    Uh.

Safari is a front-end for the WebKit framework. The WebKit framework will most likely be built into 10.3. That won't speed up the front-end though.

I doubt you're going to see tabs at a version 1.0 release. Sorry. Beta means that it is feature complete, and that testing of those features only needs to be completed.

That's true, but as a developer I can assure you that feature-creep is a very real problem and I wouldn't be too surprised if the v 1.0 has one or more added features that weren't in the first couple of betas (for the programmers under the deadline, I hope I'm wrong; last minute crap isn't fun!)

Well... What would the point be in updating from a beta to the real deal then? If people can live with a beta, then why should they download the final version...

Tabs are comming d00d, and thats 100% sure. Apple has to get it in before 1.0 Final, or else the mac community goes wild! <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />

    Jonathan,

C'mon, at least give us a little more insight into the improvements in the app.

    Any changes in user preferences?

    Have cookie issues been resolved?

Has the UI been updated in any way?

Is there any integration with iApps/iLife?

At least give us a few more details.

    Flash issues are somewhat resolved.

There is progress on CSS issues.

When typing into the google search field, the nifty grey 'x' appears, as in iTunes, Mail, and any other search box that you can think of.

    Overall, a tidge speedier.

Guys, bugger off about asking for the build. I hope don't need to reiterate that asking for pirated software on AppleInsider is prohibited. Like with when the Mac OS X updates come out, discussing the builds themselves is okay but distributing is NOT okay. You can look around for it on the various file sharing networks as you please but you are not to share the software or the source here.

All of the CSS bugs that I am aware of have been documented at <a href="http://diveintomark.org/safari/"; target="_blank">diveintomark</a>. The following have been fixed, AFAICT:

    CSS Rendering Bugs 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 19, 26

    Other rendering bugs 1, 2

    CSS importing bugs 5, 10
