According to sources close to the dossier "Apple" iPhone 3G is currently on the premises of Orange. The 3G version of the iPhone, which is expected by many geeks, is being optimized, because the product (yet) consumes too much battery and autonomy is therefore very low.

UPDATE: I received an email from someone well placed (ie saying, I can not check) in SFR to tell me that the 3G iPhone is also being tested. Apple it would change its tactics in order to provide wider distribution?
So, this could not be a surprise to see tow carriers selling the 3G iPhone in France...
