<strong>What's Classihack? I don't see it on the Ambrosia page.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Well, it's a hack for Classic that enables window buffering. Huh? That "saves" the convents of the windows in a buffer like other OSX apps so Quartz can play nice with them. I'm sure you've seen the white space and redraw over Classic apps caused by the Dock, menus, windows, and other OSX stuff. This hack makes that little problem go away. There are some bugs with it, but I find it a great boon when swapping between old and new apps.
I don't have the link handy, but if you look around the FTP server long enough, I'm sure you can find it.
this is really what you meant, but as far as i'm concerned, the terminal is hands down the best utility. it's indispensible. and it finally made mac os credible in the science community.
Get 'em, live 'em, love 'em. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
BTW, with regards to ASM, one thing I don't get is why when you alt-tab through the applications, the icon/name that ASM displays doesn't change as you click through.
Really, about the only reason I found the Classic app switcher to be useful was as a visual indicator as I alt-tabbed through them...helped me to move between apps faster. And I would use ASM for that reason because the Dock is not very good at this...
...anyone know how to make ASM do this? I couldn't figure it out based on the minute or so that I tinkered with the preferences.

DragThing
HotApp (better than DT since you can set say F2 instead of Cmd-F2 to launch an app, but it's buggier)
TinkerTool 2 (free)
Window Shade X ($7)
BatChmod (free)
