    Wouldn't the obvious answer be that they charge a premium because they make abetter product? The market obviously supports that assumption. Apple hardware + OSX is just WORTH more than comparable (though less elegant) hardware running any other OS.

    Troll aside, when you compare a Mac Pro (he did say "higher end") to the equivalent dell, the mac is CHEAPER.



    The problem with Apple isn't that they are overpriced (when comparing the same specs), it's that they don't offer a low end/budget machine.
