Not sure why this hasn't been covered by AI, but in the general press, this has been big news.
It's important on a number of levels, but primarily since it involves Google, Android and wireless accessibility, which will directly affect cell phone and wireless internet device usage and development.

I've been following this over at Ars. They've had pretty good coverage over there.
I may get back into CLWR when the WiMax network gets up and running. If they get it up by the end of this year they could have a 3 year head-start on LTE. The soonest I've seen ATT getting LTE up is 2012.
I suspect that LTE will be better but WiMax may become entrenched by the time LTE gets here. If Sprint, CLWR, GOOG and the like get the Wimax network up and get nationwide coverage.
