Check this out.

I downloaded and installed this driver package and lost my keyboard and mouse response:

http://adcdownload.apple.com/Mac_OS_...308.4.0log.dmg

I cant even connect an external keyboard or mouse.

Great, so I guess I need to install the correct drivers for 10.4, which i believe to be these:

http://adcdownload.apple.com/Develop....1logintel.dmg

So I start my Macbook in Target Disk and open the installer on my Powermac G5, only it to say: "This package should only be installed on a Macintosh with an Intel Processor" DUH! That's what I'm doing! Where were you when I was installing 105. drivers on 10.4?

So, can I force my way through or work around this?

Yup, just extract the installer drivers and drag them into the right place. You can use Pacifist to see where the files would normally go and extract it. Or if you know where it goes, just right-click open package contents, copy out the archive, extract by double-clicking and move the driver to the correct folder.

Okay, I've got the pacifist and it appears to be working, but im still having the same problem. is there some other file to extract other than the IOUSBFamily.kext or some other step i'm missing?
