I know this has been asked recently either here or on MacNN. What is the best book for a person who is new to OS X to read?

I think there is a book called the OS X Black Book (or something to that effect) which covers a lot of ground on using the system and trouble-shooting as well. Personally I don't see much use for Operating System books unless you're new to computing or maybe a system administrator. I tend to learn by doing more so than by reading.

This is less true of programming, and in this area I wonder if a "Cocoa for Dummies" book might be released. I've used the "C Programming for Dummies" as a primer / introduction to structured programming and it was actually pretty good for the most part. Think I'll go check the Dummies web site...will check back here after.
