Why isn't it on X? I wanted to find out what type of memory was built in to my new iBook. Does it have to be so much effort for such simple little things? BTW. I still don't know.

And even if OS X didn't have it you could always use the Classic version.

Even AppleSystemProfiler from the command line works. But ya, the GUI version is already there.

    % AppleSystemProfiler -m

From the command line gives detailed information about how much RAM is in each slot, but not about the type of RAM.

These results look the same to me.

    from the terminal:

    [code]Location Type Speed Info Size

    DIMM0/J21 SDRAM PC100-222S 512 MB

    DIMM1/J22 SDRAM PC100-222S 256 MB

    DIMM2/J23 SDRAM PC100-322S 64 MB

    DIMM3/J24 empty</pre><hr></blockquote>

That's odd. On my system they are not the same. The command line reports PC100 322 in all slots, and the GUI reports PC133 222 in all slots.
