Is cleaner carbon yet? I need cleaner for a project I am going to do soon and I was wondering if I would be working in 9 or X.

Didn't stevie use Cleaner at MWNY 2001? I can't remember if it was osx or a beta.

If you keep your system organized you don't need cleaner.

Cleaner 5.1 is supposed to be OS X native, but I don't see anything on their site about OS X support.

    From Maccentral 1/8/02:

Discreet, a division of Autodesk, is showing Cleaner 5.1 at this week's Macworld San Francisco. The latest version of the company's software has been Carbonized for Mac SO X. Cleaner lets you create streaming video and audio for multimedia and the Web through transcoding of content for digital media formats.

Cleaner 5.1 also includes support for Sorenson Video 3 Professional for high quality QuickTime content and capabilities for transcoding digital content for DVD authoring, MP3 audio, and other popular streaming media formats.

Cleaner 5.1 software is due North America (via download) in a few weeks. It will have a suggested retail price of US$599.

That 5.1 update on Discreet's web site is still the classic app. Not the carbon updater yet.....

They said it should be there in a few weeks.

Can FCP do what cleaner does?... As in taking a batch and encoding them into a format I can use for a superdrive dvd? mpeg-2?
