Macbook RAM

alright so im planning on getting my first macbook and i was wondering, if its possible to buy and install third party ram on it. and if it is possible, would i remove the apple ram as well or use both ?

    You will need to get rid of the ram that is in your macbook.

    I'd like to add that it's often advised here that you keep hold of your original Apple RAM in case you ever need to return your machine to Apple for any reason. Just pop it back in so they don't replace/restore it to it's originall spec



    Changing the RAM doesn't invalidate your warranty either FWIW
