MBA Teardrop vs. Wedge (revised)

Posted:
in Future Apple Hardware edited January 2014
The macbook air. truly a great product. although in recent times it seems to have given users some level of confusion. it seems that some have decided that the mba air is most deffinitly wedge shaped. others have fallen into the teardrop party. What will happen is yet to be seen.

what will forum goers decide? will melgross finally admit to being wrong? will the macbook air actually fly? stay tuned to find out.

You should ask a moderator to delete the other thread.

Agreed. We piled on solsun in the first four pages and anyone who read further experienced a mind melting debate about the shape of a computer.

no, not that thread! I meant the other thread that zerfman created, without the poll.

Maybe you knew that and you were being sarcastic. I can't tell.

Yeah I didn't realize you were talking about the duplicate thread zerfman made.

But I still wouldn't...shed a tear if that comical speculative thread on a September Apple announcement was deleted.

dependent on how you view them surely? and what line of symmetry you choose to use.

One could equally argue that the opposite is also a justifiable stand point.

    Wedges:

    Teardrops:

^ Imagine the lid closed, obviously.

From most other perspectives, the Air simply resembles a rectangle due to the thickest point of the Air being only around half an inch thicker than the thinest point (0.16" to 0.76"):

That's like saying the earth isn't round because it has valleys and mountains all over it. But when you're outside the earth it looks pretty round. This is the same thing. If you examine it very very closely you'll say it's not a teardrop shape, but in general it is. And in general it's kind of wedge-shaped too. If I had to pick one though I'd pick teardrop.

false, the definition of a teardrop is not necessarily that it is symmetrical , or has concave sides for that matter. here is the definition as stated on dictionary.com:

"having a globular form at the bottom, tapering to a point at the top."

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/teardrop

bet you wish you could take back that wedge vote don't you. all of you wedgies.
